About Us
Located in the rural community of Norwood Young America, our Christ centered school offers a safe and nurturing environment, for preschool through eighth grade students.At St. John’s Lutheran School we serve a wide variety of area students from communities including Arlington, Hamburg, Cologne, Plato, New Germany and of course Norwood Young America.
St. John’s Lutheran our elementary and middle school students are encouraged to excel academically. We accomplish this by having a comprehensive curriculum that includes fun and exciting hands-on learning and field trips. We believe this allows our students to grow to become confident leaders who are well prepared to meet the challenges of the culture around them.

At St. John’s we believe in nurturing the whole student not only by offering excellent academic courses but also extra curriculars. We compete in a local conference in volleyball, basketball, flag football, and cross country. We also have clubs for students as well like knowledge bowl, breakout-edus (escape rooms), chess club, cribbage club, drama, and more.
Our school is unified to meet the needs of the whole child, teaching not only intellectual and physical skills, but also how to use those skills in honor and service to the Lord.
